The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, also known as the Jazz Fest, is a 10-day cultural feast that welcomes about 400,000 visitors each year.
The event combines different kinds of crafts, music and food into one festival that celebrates culture in its broadest form. Through the years, The Jazz Fest has welcomed renowned guests such as Miles Davis and Bob Dylan.
Since its first edition in 1970 the festival continues to "celebrate the culture of Louisiana with the combined fervor of a gospel hymn and the joy of a jazz parade."
